MTI's 2028 YES Leadership Development Program Sells Out in Five Days
The Metal Treating Institute (MTI) is excited to announce that its 2028 YES (Young Executives Society) Leadership Development Program has officially sold out…just five days after registration opened.
This amazing response reflects both the growing demand for leadership development within the heat treating industry and the outstanding reputation the YES program has built over the past two decades.
Since its launch in 2007, the YES Leadership Development Program has become the industry's premier leadership experience for emerging leaders. Over 600 hundred graduates have gone on to become plant managers, company presidents, owners, and industry volunteers, helping strengthen not only their own organizations but the heat treating industry as a whole.
"This is more than a training program…it's a transformational experience," said MTI CEO Tom Morrison. "Selling out in only five days demonstrates that companies understand the importance of developing future leaders today. The fact that the program has sold out two years in advance the last ten years demonstrates that investing in people is one of the highest-return investments any company can make."
The year-long program combines world-class instruction, practical business application, leadership assessments, peer networking, and personal development to equip participants with the skills needed to lead high-performing teams and navigate an increasingly complex manufacturing environment.
Participants will explore topics including:
- Leading high-performing teams
- Personal goal setting and how to make good choices
- Emotional intelligence and communication
- Strategic thinking and decision-making
- Personal leadership and accountability
- Building a strong company culture
- Financial and business acumen
- Networking with peers from across North America
One of the program's greatest strengths is the lifelong relationships participants develop. Graduates consistently cite the professional network they build with fellow heat treating leaders as one of the most valuable benefits of the experience.
The rapid sellout also reinforces a broader trend across manufacturing: companies are placing greater emphasis on succession planning and leadership development as experienced leaders retire and the next generation prepares to take the industry forward.
Companies interested in enrolling future leaders are encouraged to begin planning now for the next YES class. Historically, demand has continued to grow each year, and this year's record-setting registration pace suggests future classes will fill quickly as well.
Congratulations to the 2028 YES class! MTI looks forward to helping these rising leaders develop the knowledge, confidence, and leadership skills needed to shape the future of the heat treating industry.
