Putting the Knowledge Every Heat-Treating Plant Needs in the Palm of Your Hand

The Metal Treating Institute is expanding its quarterly live webcast series with the addition of a NEW Artificial Intelligence Track. AI joins MTI’s existing webcast tracks focused on Leadership Development, Economic Forecasting, and Technical Standards.

Together, these four critical areas give MTI Members year-round access to the information, strategies, and insights they need to lead their companies, strengthen their teams, maintain compliance, and prepare for the future.

Every live webcast is available in real-time through MTI’s website at HeatTreat.net and through the MTI Connect mobile app.

MTI’s goal is simple: to put the key knowledge every plant needs to succeed in the palm of its team members’ hands; from the company owner and senior leadership team to supervisors, quality personnel, sales professionals, and furnace operators.

Four Knowledge Tracks, One Powerful Member Resource

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing how companies analyze information, manage workflows, train employees, improve customer service, and make decisions.

MTI’s new AI Track will help Members understand how to use AI responsibly and practically within their businesses. The focus will be on moving beyond the hype and identifying real applications that can improve efficiency, reduce administrative burdens, preserve institutional knowledge, support employees, and strengthen plant performance.

AI will not replace the need for experienced people. However, the people and companies that learn how to use AI effectively will have a significant advantage over those that do not.

Leadership Development

Strong operations require strong leaders at every level. The challenge is employees aren’t leaving their jobs…they are leaving their boss.

MTI’s Leadership Development webcasts provide practical tools for communicating expectations, building accountability, improving culture, developing employees, managing conflict, and leading teams through change.

These sessions are valuable not only for owners and senior executives, but also for emerging leaders, department managers, supervisors, and anyone responsible for influencing the performance of others.

When leadership skills improve, employee engagement, retention, communication, and operational performance can improve with them.

Economic Forecasting

Economic uncertainty can make it difficult to know when to hire, invest, expand, conserve cash, or prepare for changing demand.  With a 94.7% accuracy rating on projecting the economy 4 quarters out, MTI’s economic and industry forecasts are must see events.

MTI’s quarterly Economic Forecasting webcasts give Members timely insights into the business cycle and the trends affecting manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, energy, construction, and other important heat-treating markets.

These forecasts help leadership teams replace emotion and guesswork with better information. By understanding what may be coming next, Members can make more confident decisions regarding staffing, capital investment, inventory, sales strategies, and cash flow.

Technical Standards

Quality requirements and technical standards continue to evolve across the heat-treating industry. Staying informed is essential for maintaining compliance, protecting customer relationships, passing audits, and reducing operational risk. These updates focus on CQI-9, Nadcap, ASTM, and changes to industry specifications that impact the heat treat operations.

MTI’s Technical Standards webcasts keep Members updated on important developments involving industry specifications, audit requirements, regulatory changes, and quality expectations.

These sessions help quality teams, technical personnel, supervisors, and plant leaders understand not only what is changing, but also what those changes could mean for their daily operations.

Turn Every Webcast Into a Team-Learning Opportunity

The greatest value comes when MTI’s webcast content is shared throughout the organization.

MTI encourages Members to watch these programs as a team whenever possible. After each webcast, take a few minutes to discuss:

  1. What did we learn that applies to our company or plant?
  2. Where do we currently have an opportunity to improve?
  3. What is one action we can take based on what we learned?

A single webcast can begin an important conversation. That conversation can lead to a better process, a stronger leader, a smarter decision, improved compliance, or a new way to serve customers.
