Furnaces North America 2026 Draws More Than 1,400 Attendees
Industry connections, new technology, and shared ideas made Indianapolis event a success
Furnaces North America 2026 brought more than 1,400 attendees to Indianapolis October 12–14, demonstrating the strength, engagement, and forward focus of the heat treating industry. Produced by the Metal Treating Institute, in partnership with its exclusive media partner, Heat Treat Today, the show brought heat treaters and suppliers together to explore solutions, exchange knowledge, and build relationships that will help shape their companies’ futures.
Throughout the event, the focus was on moving forward. With companies navigating market uncertainty, workforce challenges, rising costs, and rapid technological change, FNA provided a valuable opportunity to step away from daily operations and consider what comes next.
A Show Floor Focused on Solutions
The exhibit floor connected attendees with suppliers offering equipment, technology, and services designed to improve heat treating operations. From furnace systems and process controls, to automation and digital tools, attendees had opportunities to ask detailed questions, compare approaches, and discuss their specific operating challenges.
Those conversations are a central part of FNA’s value. Seeing technology firsthand and speaking directly with the people behind it helps companies better evaluate their options and identify practical next steps.
For exhibitors, the show created opportunities to strengthen customer relationships, introduce capabilities, and learn more about the priorities driving investment across the industry.
Education that Connects to Everyday Operations
FNA’s technical program complemented the exhibit floor with learning opportunities focused on the issues heat treaters face every day. Sessions covering furnace technology, materials and metallurgy, process control, quality, automation, robotics, and artificial intelligence gave attendees valuable perspectives to bring back to their teams.
The greatest return on that education comes when ideas become action. Whether attendees discovered an opportunity to improve a process, investigate a technology, or rethink an operating practice, the show provided a starting point for meaningful conversations inside their own companies.
Relationships that Extend Beyond the Show
Technology and education are important, but the relationships built at FNA are equally valuable. The event gave industry professionals time to reconnect with peers, meet potential partners, and compare experiences with others who understand the demands of heat treating.
A conversation on the show floor or between sessions can introduce a different perspective, answer a persistent question, or open the door to future collaboration. FNA created space for those connections to happen.
The event also highlighted the value of staying connected throughout the year. Through MTI’s education, benchmarking, workforce resources, and peer network, companies can continue the learning and collaboration that make gatherings like FNA so productive.
Building on the Momentum
The success of Furnaces North America 2026 reflects the commitment of the attendees, exhibitors, speakers, and event partners who invested their time and expertise in the industry’s future.
With more than 1,400 attendees, FNA demonstrated the continued importance of bringing people together to solve problems and discover opportunities. The next step is to carry that momentum home: share what was learned, follow up on new connections, and identify the ideas that deserve action.
Furnaces North America returns October 9–11, 2028, in Cleveland, Ohio…another opportunity for the industry to connect, learn, and become future ready.
