Ata Kamyabi, Ph.D., P.Eng.

I am a materials science and engineering professional with over 10 years of experience spanning industrial R&D, advanced materials, and academia. I currently work in R&D at Alberta Industrial Heat Treating (AIHT), where I lead the development and optimization of industrial heat-treating processes and support advanced materials and surface-engineering technologies across the Apollo group. My expertise includes heat treating, laser cladding, materials characterization, tribology, nanocomposites, and quality assurance. I have authored more than 21 peer-reviewed publications and hold multiple patents, with a strong record of innovation, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
