ELEMENT #1: CONNECTION TO BEST MINDS IN HEAT TREATING
In today’s fast-paced, ever-changing environment, it’s easy to feel alone in the daily grind of challenges faced by a heat treating company. Not at MTI! MTI’s Education Committee has done another outstanding job in designing a program that hits at the heart of issues that members want to dig into. On day 1, members will hear from Nick Espinosa from Security Fanatics on the evolution of compliance with CMMC and DoD new rules. Anyone doing business with the DoD or connected to a company doing business with the DoD will be subject to these new rule changes. Compliance is complicated and expensive. Nick will break it all down into layman’s terms to help members navigate the rocky road of compliance.
Following Nick will be MTI’s famed sales forecasting company, ITR Economics. One of ITR’s leading economists will be presenting the data behind the forecasts for heat treating sales and eight industry sectors that drive heat treating sales. ITR will also dig into the four segments of their business cycle model and show members how to use their rates of change model to help predict future sales for more effective budgeting accuracy. In this time of sales fluctuations, this will be valuable information.
In a recent survey, 70% of MTI members shared that technical specifications have a huge impact on their productivity, profits, and production. With that in mind, on day 2, two MTI members, who are highly-involved in the area of technical specifications, will share the keys behind technical specifications. Sharing how you can actually influence the design of the specifications you have to comply with, and how to manage the specification process to maximize your compliance success. During their presentation, members will have any opportunity to share their experiences and best practices with regards to managing quality and specifications.
Day two will end with MTI’s featured keynote speaker, Shawn Rhodes, on How to Pivot Without Sacrificing Your Results. In business, the best plans sometimes don’t work out as planned.
