MTI’s 2018 Spring Meeting, held in conjunction with the Industrial Heating Equipment Association, April 23-25 was a huge success.  Over 200 people from both associations convened in Scottsdale, Arizona for two days of energetic social connection and informative educational sessions.

During the event, the MTI Educational Foundation was very active with some big action items including:

Foundation Top Golf Experience Fundraiser

12 company sponsors and 84 members participated in this event that raised over $10,000 in net proceeds for the Foundation.

Foundation Recognizes Two Longtime Leaders

MTI President, Pete Hushek, recognized outgoing Foundation Chairman, Doug Peters, from Peters Heat Treating, and Treasurer, Norm Graves, from National Metal Processing, for their long service to the Foundation.  Both came on the Foundation Board when it had little money in the bank.  Both played an instrumental role in the Foundation growing to now over $300,000 in assets.  In recognition of their service, the Foundation Board approved an annual scholarship in the amount of $15,000, called The Founders Scholarship, in Doug and Norm’s honor.  The scholarship will begin in 2018, with criteria and applications being sent out in early June.
