Winston Heat Treating Awarded Commercial Heat Treater of the Year Award

The Metal Treating Institute is pleased to announce that long-time member, Winston Heat Treating from Dayton, Ohio, was awarded the Commercial Heat Treater of the Year Award by Industrial Heating Magazine.   The award was presented at the MTI Fall Meeting Awards Dinner on September 16 in San Diego.

 

The award given by Industrial Heating Magazine, in conjunction with the MTI Educational Foundation, is awarded to the company who demonstrates high levels of excellence in quality programs, pollution/hazardous waste controls, and community involvement/leadership.

 

Winston Heat Treating owner, John Reger, stated, “This is truly an honor to be recognized by the industry for the hard work that our entire team puts forth every day - in serving our customers and making a difference.  We love this industry and the impact we make locally and abroad.”

 

MTI also recognized three individuals for their excellence in leadership and service to the Metal Treating Institute and the heat treating industry:

 

Award of Industry Merit – Awarded to Jim Oakes from Super Systems

Given in recognition of current/ongoing commitment to the betterment of the commercial heat treating industry with one or more significant accomplishments. 

 

Distinguished Service Award – Awarded to Jamie Jones from Solar Atmospheres

Given in recognition of current/ongoing commitment over the previous year to the betterment of the Metal Treating Institute with one or more notable accomplishments. 

 

President’s Award – Awarded to Bob Ferry from FPM Heat Treating

Given in recognition to the individual that the MTI President feels has had the biggest impact on the Board of Trustees in meeting their goals over the previous year.

 

MTI and the Awards Committee would like to congratulate each of the award winners for their service and leadership to the heat treating industry.
