During the MTI Fall Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee, held this past October, Industrial Heating Magazine, in cooperation with the MTI Educational Foundation, awarded Erie Steel LTD the Commercial Heat Treater of the Year Award.
This award was judged by a panel that included past award winners and was based on the areas of quality programs, pollution/hazardous waste control programs, and local community involvement.
The award winner receives $1,500 to award to the student of their choice to help further their education. MTI is excited to announce that Erie Steel hosted a lunch during their first shift to award Tristan Michel the $1,500 scholarship.
Industrial Heating Magazine and the MTI Educational Foundation would like to congratulate Tristan for being awarded the scholarship in 2016. The MTI Educational Foundation also announced last week that it will be matching Industrial Heating’s $1,500, thus making the 2017 scholarship award $3,000.
