MTI Recognizes Leadership and Service Awards at Fall Meeting

MTI is excited to announce this year’s award winners during the October Fall Meeting in Quebec City, Canada.  The following individuals and companies were recognized for their leadership and service to the MTI, and the heat treating industry:

Commercial Heat Treater of the Year Award:  Heat Treatment Australia

This award, given in partnership with Industrial Heating Magazine, recognizes the company who has demonstrated a level of excellence in quality programs, pollution/hazardous waste control, and community involvement/leadership.

 


Heritage Award:  Don Gaydosh – Ohio Metallurgical Service

This award is given out sparingly, and is the "most prestigious" of all MTI awards.  It is given in recognition of the individual’s lifetime commitment to the betterment of the commercial heat treating industry, with one or more notable accomplishments.   The award was accepted by Don Gaydosh's son John, John's wife Tara and Don's wife Sherry.  Don passed away earlier in 2015.


Award of Industry Merit:  Michael Reichling – Cincinnati Steel Treating

Given in recognition of current/ongoing commitment to the betterment of the commercial heat treating industry, with one or more significant accomplishments. 

 

 

M. Lance Miller Legend Award:  Harry Hall

Given in recognition of a lifetime commitment to the betterment of the Metal Treating Institute, with one or more notable accomplishments.


 

Distinguished Service Award:  Jackie Peters – Peters’ Heat Treating

Given in recognition of current/ongoing commitment over the previous year to the betterment of the Metal Treating Institute, with one or more notable accomplishments. 



 

MTI Associate of the Year:  Throughput | Bluestreak

Given in recognition of current/ongoing commitment over the previous year to the betterment of the Metal Treating Institute, with one or more notable accomplishments. 

 

 

Emerging Leader Award:  Kim Srsen – B.O.S. Services

This award is given to an individual under the age of 35, or with less than 5 years of volunteer service experience to the Metal Treating Institute, and must have demonstrated a commitment towards professional development through the Young Executive Series Program (YES) and/or the MTI Online Academy, a commitment to advancement of the heat treating industry, made an impact on the Institute through volunteering at the Chapter or National Level, and demonstrated exemplary leadership qualities.


 

MTI Presidents Award:  Kim Srsen – B.O.S. Services

Given in recognition of current/ongoing helpfulness over the previous year to the president of the Metal Treating Institute with one or more notable accomplishments.


MTI would like to congratulate all of the 2015 award winners for their service and leadership to the institute and the heat treating industry.
