5:15 pm - 7:00 pm General Session: Fireside Discussion on Hot Topics in Heat Treating
MTI is excited to bring you one of our most highly rated sessions, focused on moderated round table discussions on 4-key topics impacting heat treating plants. The Fireside Discussion will be moderated by Chapter Chair, Jason Breuer from GFI Metal Treating and MTI President, Jim Oakes from Super Systems. The topics Jim and Jason will work through with members will be:

Quality & Contract Review Requirements
More and more customers/OEMs are pushing off more requirements and documentation than ever before.  How are you handling it from a technology and labor stand point and who pays for the increased requirements?

Everyday companies are being hacked for their data and sometimes being held for payment through ransomware.  Are you protected?  Do you have a thorough cybersecurity strategy?  What are you doing to put the right protections in place?

Implementing Industry 4.0
With a labor shortage that’s not disappearing anytime soon, the process of implementing Industry 4.0 connectivity in manufacturing/heat treat plants is becoming more popular as a viable solution.  How are you connecting people, machines, processes, technology, and data to streamline your company up and down your supply chain to expand capacity, without expanding labor?

Plant Safety & Video Monitoring
Safety in any heat treating plant is a top priority.  What new initiatives are you implementing to enhance safety in your plant?  What safety challenges are you seeing?  Are you using a video strategy in any way to document what is going on in your plant?

Workplace Culture
In today's world, people aren’t leaving their companies...they’re are leaving their boss.  With a labor shortage hitting you square in the face, you can't afford to have your good talent leave because of bad management. What are some elements you are implementing to enhance your workplace culture?  What training are you doing to give your managers the skills they need to lead your people?

7:00 pm - 8:30 pm: Dinner and Reception
Members will enjoy dinner and drinks to further discuss ideas they have gained from the evenings sessions.
