The Metal Treating Institute is excited to announce it has finalized details for the Spring Midwest Chapter Dinner Meeting.  The meeting will be hosted on April 5th at Lake City Social in Lake Geneva, WI from 4:00 pm – 8:30 pm.

Heat Treaters and suppliers from all across the Midwest region will attend to connect on key operational and audit compliance issues.  MTI meetings are always a great event to reward a couple of your top-performing leaders; giving them a bigger picture of the industry they work in.

The meeting will start at 4:00 pm with a networking reception, allowing attendees to connect with other heat treaters and meet new people from the region.  At 5:00 pm, MTI’s 2023 President, Jim Orr from Penna Flame Industries, will give an update on the key industry initiatives that MTI and MTI committees are working on.  At 5:15 pm, MTI’s Midwest Chapter Chair, Chuck Hartwig from Thermtech, will facilitate a series of table and group discussions on several key topics MTI is seeing discussed online by Members, including:

  • What types of video surveillance cameras are you using and how are you using them?
  • What key KPI’s/metrics are you tracking to ensure maximum productivity in your operations?
  • What workplace culture issues that make your company appealing to work for?
  • How are you using technology or Industry 4.0 methods to close the throughput gap with the on-going labor shortage?

These are just a few of the topics that will be on the agenda.  MTI will survey attendees 10 days before the meeting about the topics, to make sure the biggest issues are on the agenda.

At 6:30 pm attendees will enjoy a nice dinner, and the opportunity to discuss the topics and best practices from the earlier table discussions.
