Two words are always associated with MTI National Meetings: Sold Out.

The 2021 Spring Meeting will be no different. In December 2020, MTI did a survey of members to see how many would attend the Spring meeting if it were to be rescheduled in early May at a beach resort in Florida. The response was a resounding, “YES.”

MTI has finalized details for the 2021 Spring Meeting on May 3-5 at the Omni Beach Resort in Amelia Island, FL. If you plan to attend the 2021 Spring Meeting, we highly encourage you to reserve your room as soon as possible, especially if you want to stay a couple of extra nights on the front or back end of the meeting.

MTI is working closely with the Omni Beach Resort to ensure all the safeguards are in place with proper safety protocols and social distancing with hotel staff and service. Check out the video link to view a recent webcast MTI hosted with the Omni Beach Resort to discuss all the key features of MTI’s Spring Meeting.

Amelia Island is nestled on 1,350 acres at the tip of a barrier island off the Florida coast. This beautiful resort offers luxurious oceanfront accommodations with unparalleled views of the Atlantic Ocean, world-class resort pools, championship golf, and a full-service spa. Whether you prefer to stroll 3.5 miles of pristine beach, spend the day kayaking through Amelia Island’s preserved marshlands, or tee off on one of our award-winning golf courses, you’ll never run out of adventure in this idyllic destination.

MTI’s Program Committee made a great decision to reschedule the four speakers from the cancelled Spring 2020 meeting to speak at the 2021 Spring Meeting. The opening and closing keynotes include nationally-known speakers, Laura Stark and Rob O-Neill. The program’s focus is excelling at time management/scheduling, maximizing productivity/profits through the use of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), implementing all the new norms that have surfaced through COVID, and how to plan and never give up on your plan.

During the four sessions, you will learn:

  • Why time management is the biggest weakness in most people
  • The biggest time wasters in your productivity
  • The keys to effective scheduling in both personal and professional environments
  • Learn the 3 T's to maximize and boost productivity for you and your employees
  • How Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) can drive your profitability
  • How to identify the right KPIs that help you maximize profitability
  • Keys to using KPIs to boost employee productivity and morale
  • The NEW norms that are permanent from COVID
  • Workplace requirements you must implement to minimize new risks
  • How workplace and culture business models have changed during COVID
  • Why planning is so important for maximizing future success
  • The keys to leading your team into an environment of "not giving up"

MTI’s Spring Meeting will have a perfect balance of learning, networking, and down time to refuel, refresh, and energize your passion and perspective about the future.

During the Spring Meeting, members will also have an opportunity to engage in a fun and exciting sight-seeing adventure on Amelia Island to raise money for the MTI Educational Foundation. On Tuesday, May 4, members will be placed into teams of six in a six-seater golf cart. Each team will be given a list of sight-seeing challenges they must accomplish during a 2-hour time limit. At the conclusion of this “Amazing Race” style event, the team’s points will be calculated and the winning teams will be announced at the final night dinner. You won’t want to miss this exciting and engaging opportunity to experience Amelia Island and raise money for the MTI Educational Foundation.

The Spring Meeting general sessions are always complimented with high-energy evening networking events on both the opening and closing nights. At these events you will be able to connect and share with owners and key executives, from heat treaters to suppliers, from across the membership.

The best part about the Spring Meeting is that you will be coming from snow and 30-degree temperatures, and entering the sunshine, sand, and 85+ degree temperatures of Florida’s Atlantic Coast. Paradise in many members’ minds…don’t miss it!

Remember to book your hotel room soon.
