Jamie Jones Takes Gavel as 2019 MTI President

One area of strength for the Metal Treating Institute over the years has always been its line of leadership.  2019 is no different.   At the final night award dinner during Furnaces North America, 2018 President Pete Hushek from Phoenix Heat Treating passed the gavel to Jamie Jones from Solar Atmospheres out of Souderton, Pennsylvania.

With Solar Atmospheres being a member since 1983, Jamie Jones brings a wealth of knowledge, vision, and history to the table as President.  Jamie is a third generation heat treater, behind his grandfather Bill Jones and father Roger Jones.  Jamie is a graduate of MTI’s famed YES Management Training Program and has been very active on the Board of Trustees since he was elected in 2012.

 

MTI also announced the new slate of 2019 officers who will join Jamie, as well as 3 newly elected Board Members for 3-year terms:

Jamie Jones stated in his opening remarks as he received the gavel that, “It’s exciting to see everyone’s business growing.  Things look very bright for the future of heat treating.  MTI is committed to investing its resources to provide the highest level of value to every heat treater and supplier in the industry who joins MTI.”
