One of the key elements to the rise and success of the Metal Treating Institute in the heat treating industry are the volunteer leaders who serve above and beyond their company to make a difference.

At any given time, MTI has over 100 volunteers spending their own time and money to serve in a variety of capacities, including:  the MTI Board of Trustees, and committees or affiliated groups like Nadcap, ASTM, CQI-9, and AMEC.

At each Fall Meeting, MTI recognizes those members who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in their service and leadership to MTI.

MTI’s Award Committee, Chaired by Jackie Peters from Peters’ Heat Treating, recognized the following members during the MTI Fall Meeting Awards Dinner in Nashville, Tennessee on the night of October 5.

Heritage Award:  Jeff Uhlenburg - Donovan Heat Treating

This award is given out sparingly and is the "most prestigious" of all MTI awards.  It is given in recognition of the individual’s lifetime commitment to the betterment of the commercial heat treating industry, with one or more notable accomplishments.
