During the MTI Board of Trustees Winter Meeting in January, it became very apparent there are some key industry issues that need to be weighed in on by members. Some of those key issues were:
- Industry Standards (Nadcap, AMEC, CQI-9, ISO)
- On-going Safety Training Requirements
- Expanding Markets for Outsourcing in Captives
- Educational Programming for MTI General Meetings
- Quality Technical Training for MTI Online Academy
The leadership is asking you to get involved in one of these key areas by volunteering your input. With technology developments, MTI has made it very easy for members to get involved and provide input right from their office. No longer does volunteering mean attending a meeting. These days it means responding to online group discussions and a conference call periodically.
Together members can move mountains if they coordinate, collaborate and communicate together. Get involved today and help MTI make the necessary changes needed to help your business grow and prosper. Below is the purpose of each of the committees and a link for you to indicate which one you have interest in serving on:
This committee is to analyze issues relating to industry standards and specs with any accreditation group or regulatory entity who overseas heat treaters and offer input relating to the impact they will have on heat treating companies.
On-going Safety Training Requirements – The committee will analyze the various safety and training requirements mandated for heat treaters and design the necessary resources and opportunities for training to ensure heat treaters are in compliance.
Expanding Markets for Outsourcing in Captive – This committee will brainstorm and develop quality marketing campaigns and industry tools for use by MTI members to generate more outsourcing from captives to their companies.
Educational Programming for MTI General Meetings – This committee is responsible for developing the educational programs for the annual Spring and Fall Meetings.
Education Committee – This committee will brainstorm periodically to help staff know the technical topics and training needed to enhance the quality course offerings on the MTI Online Academy for Heat Treaters.
